Cars Designed to Detect Anxiety in Drivers?

by on August 22, 2012

Can you imagine a car capable of not only detecting your anxiety but also responding to it? In the future, this may be a possibility.

Ford has created an electronic system which can recognize when you start to feel stressed out on the road. If driving over bridges worries you, for instance, sensors in the car would be able to pick up on your stress. In response, the car would try to minimize distractions which could cause more anxiety in the driver and make the situation more dangerous.

Cars with the anxiety-detecting features have not yet been produced, but Ford is still working on improving the system.
