A panic attack makes you feel anxious, stressed and out of control. It causes your heart to race, your breathing to speed up, and your hands to tremble.
Panic attacks can be annoying, distracting and even scary. It’s terrible to feel the worry and dread caused by the constant threat of a panic attack.
What do you do when you feel a panic attack coming on? Do you have any special tricks to calm yourself down or to distract yourself?
A new application for Android cellular phones called Panic Attack Aid was created to teach the user simple techniques to quickly and effectively stop a panic attack before it gets out of control.
The man who created the application explains that “the portability of this mobile phone app means that whenever a person feels a panic attack coming on, wherever they are – help is at hand.”
The application includes visual aids, sayings to help you relax, and a number of games and activities meant to pull the user’s attention away from the fear which can lead to a full-blown panic attack.
Panic Attack Aid was originally made for iPhone, but it will soon be made available to Android phone users, as well. A free, abridged version will also be released for people who would like to try it out before buying it.
The application has been endorsed by several sources, including the CEO of a charity in the UK for anxiety disorders.
