Anything that increases your stress levels can, in turn, increase your fear of driving and other anxieties.
So go ahead and kill off your Facebook friends.
Well, don’t killing them off in real life, but you may be able to decrease your stress levels if you decrease the number of friends on Facebook.
Such info came from a report out of the University of Edinburgh Business School, and it’s based on the odds of offending someone. It would make sense the more people to whom you are linked, the greater your chances of causing offense. The report also noted the greatest stress came from being linked to parents and employers.
Edinburgh Business School marketing student and report author Ben Marder shed more light on the report’s conclusions:
“Facebook used to be like a great party for all your friends where you can dance, drink and flirt. But now with your Mum, Dad and boss there the party becomes an anxious event full of potential social landmines.”
Those landmines can have even greater impact when they apply to your home life, your family life and your job, which translates to your very livelihood. Although the report focused on Facebook, the same hazards would seem to hold true on other social media platforms that link you to friends, family, colleagues, bosses and your significant other.
