Cognitive therapy may be extremely effective over the phone, although previously the use of such therapy had generally been limited to face-to-face interactions. With anxiety and mild depression topping the list of mental health afflictions affecting people around the globe, the potential benefits of phone therapy could be meaningful. The limitation of the study, however, was the inability to provide the best treatment for those with severe symptoms
